Jennifer Joanna Aniston is an American actress. She became famous in the 1990s for her role as Rachel Green in the popular US sitcom Friends, a role for which she won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Jennifer Aniston has often been described as the girl next door, but thanks to her hardcore fitness regime and outgoing personality, she's proven that the girl next door can just as sexy as the vixen down the block. At 40 years old, she recently topped Details magazine's list of "World's Sexiest Women" for 2009, beating out Megan Fox and Gisele Bundchen, who came in second and third respectively. We bought multiple copies of the January issue of GQ featuring the ultra fit Jennifer Aniston on the cover completely nude, except for a red, white and blue tie. Her arms and legs might have been strategically placed, but we can still put our imaginations to good use.


Aniston moved to Hollywood and was cast in her first television role in 1990, starring as a regular on the short-lived series Molloy and in the TV movie Camp Cucamonga. She also co-starred in Ferris Bueller, a television adaptation of the 1986 hit movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The series, however, was quickly canceled. Aniston then appeared in two more failed television comedy shows, The Edge and Muddling Through, and guest-starred on Quantum Leap, Herman's Head, and Burke's Law. After the string of canceled shows, along with her appearance in the critically derided 1992 horror film, Leprechaun, Aniston considered giving up acting. Aniston's plans changed, however, after auditioning for Friends, a sitcom that was set to debut on NBC's 1994–1995 fall line-up. The producers of the show originally wanted Aniston to audition for the role of Monica Geller, but Courtney Cox was discovered to be best suited for the part of Monica. Thus, Aniston was cast as Rachel Green. She played the character of Rachel from 1994 until the show ended in 2004.


The program was successful and Aniston, along with her co-stars, gained wide renown among television viewers. Her hairstyle at the time, which became known as the "Rachel", was widely copied. Aniston received a salary of one million dollars per episode for the last two seasons of Friends, as well as five Emmy nominations (two for Supporting Actress, three for Lead Actress), including a win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. According to the Guinness World Book of Records (2005), Aniston (along with her female costars) became the highest paid TV actress of all time with her $1 million-per-episode paycheck for the tenth season of Friends.


Jennifer Aniston was cast in a Heineken commercial which was later banned due to branding issues. Later, in 1994, Microsoft invited Aniston, along with Friends co-star Matthew Perry, to shoot a 30-minute promotional advertisement for their new operating system, Windows 95. She gained critical acclaim for her performances in The Object of My Affection (1998), a comedy drama about a girl who falls for a gay man, and in the low-budget 2002 film, The Good Girl, directed by Miguel Arteta, playing an unglamorous cashier in a small town. The latter film opened in relatively few theaters—under 700 in total—taking $14M in the U.S. box office. In late 2005, Aniston appeared in two major studio films, Derailed and Rumor Has It.


In addition to her career as a TV actress, Aniston has enjoyed a successful film career. Her biggest box office success to date was her appearance in 2003's Bruce Almighty, in which she played the girlfriend of title character Jim Carrey. Aniston then starred in the 2004 film, Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller. In 2006, Aniston appeared in the low-budget drama, Friends with Money, which was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival, received a limited release. Aniston's next film, The Break-Up, which was released on June 2, grossed approximately $39.17 million during its opening weekend, despite lukewarm reviews.


In 2007, Aniston guest starred in an episode of Courteney Cox Arquette's series Dirt. Aniston played Arquette's snobby rival Tina Harrod. In addition to acting, Aniston has also directed a hospital emergency room-set short film named Room 10, starring Robin Wright Penn and Kris Kristofferson; Aniston has noted that she was inspired to direct by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who directed a short film in 2006.


Forbes listed Aniston as the 10th richest woman in the entertainment industry for the year 2007. She is behind such powerhouses as Oprah Winfrey, J. K. Rowling, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Jennifer Lopez and is ahead of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and the Olsen twins. Aniston's net worth is approximately $110 million. As of February 15, 2009 its total worldwide gross was $161,608,269.


Her next film in wide release, He's Just Not That into You, opened in February 2009. The movie made $27.5 million, ranking #1 at the box office in its opening weekend. While the film received mixed reviews, Aniston along with Jennifer Connelly, and Ben Affleck are often praised by critics as being the stand-outs in the film.

Aniston is a supporter of many charity foundations. She is a supporter of Friends of El Faro, a grassroots non-profit organization that helps raise money for Casa Hogar Sion—an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico and has appeared in many TV commercials for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital of whom she is a big supporter. Amanda Peet is an American film and television actress.



Peet's first screen performance was a television commercial for Skittles. Her early roles included a guest role on the television series Law & Order. She made her film debut in Animal Room (1995). Peet maintained a steady acting career in relatively obscure indie movies.

Her first major role was as "Jack" in the 1999 WB network series Jack & Jill (which aired for two seasons). She also appeared in the eighth-season finale of Seinfeld ("The Summer of George") as a waitress whom Jerry Seinfeld meets. Her character is notable for seemingly dating two men at once: Jerry and her apparent roommate ("dude"), Lyle. Peet's first role in a widely-released feature film came in 2000, with The Whole Nine Yards, which, together with the cult film Whipped, helped to elevate her status from supporting actress to lead. In the summer of 2004, Underwood auditioned for American Idol in St. Louis. During the top 11 finalists' performance on the March 22, 2005, Idol episode, Underwood sang a rendition of the number one 1980s rock hit "Alone" by Heart and judge Simon Cowell predicted that Underwood would not only win the competition, but she would also outsell all previous Idol winners. Underwood is one of five winners never to have been voted in the bottom three (the others being Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, and David Cook); one of the show's producers later said that Underwood dominated the voting, winning each week handily. While on the show, Underwood gained a loyal fan base known as "Carrie's Care Bears." "Don't Forget to Remember Me", the second of Underwood's singles to be released to country radio, her fourth single overall, also proved successful, reaching number one on the Radio & Records Country Chart, number two on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and number forty-nine on the Hot 100.

Both "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Don't Forget to Remember Me" have earned number one spots in Christian radio countdowns. On December 7, 2006, Underwood's album Some Hearts received four Grammy nominations. Underwood received two Grammy awards for "Best New Artist" and "Best Female Country Vocal Performance" while "Jesus, Take the Wheel" won "Best Country Song" for the songwriters Gordie Sampson, Brett James and Hillary Lindsey, and received a nomination for "Song of the Year". In 2006 Lovato guest starred on the second season of the television series Prison Break as Danielle Curtin in the episode "First Down". She also appeared in the second season of the television sitcom Just Jordan as Nicole, in the episode "Slippery When Wet". During this time she taped a television pilot for a series called Split Ends, but it was not picked up. In January 2007, she landed the role of Charlotte Adams, a series regular, on the Disney Channel Original Short Series, As the Bell Rings, which premiered on August 26, 2007 during Disney's Back-to-School special night.

Lovato began singing and dancing at a very young age. A few of her original songs, including "Shadow," were featured on As the Bell Rings. She has also covered the Academy Award nominated song "That's How You Know" from Enchanted on DisneyMania 6 and Princess DisneyMania. She also recorded three songs for the Camp Rock soundtrack: "Who Will I Be?", "This is Me", and "Our Time Is Here". After singing in Camp Rock, she signed a record deal with Hollywood Records. Her cover of "Wonderful Christmas Time" by Paul McCartney is featured in All Wrapped Up, a holiday album.

In 2008, Lovato starred alongside the Jonas Brothers in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock. She played Mitchie Torres, a fourteen-year-old girl with hopes of becoming a singer. The movie premiered on June 20 in the USA on Disney Channel, and in Canada on Family.

Lovato's debut album Don't Forget was released on September 23, 2008 in the United States through Hollywood Records, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The Jonas Brothers co-wrote several songs with Lovato for this album. During the summer of 2008, she performed as the Jonas Brothers' opening act for their Burning Up Tour.

She competed on the sports-based special miniseries Disney Channel Games for the third annual show. Subsequently, she appeared on the second show of Studio DC: Almost Live, a special half-hour variety show that features The Muppets as well as Disney Channel stars. She made a small appearance on Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream. Lovato will also be featured in Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, a concert film presented in Disney Digital 3-D. It was released in the United States and Canada on February 27, 2009.

Lovato was cast as Princess Rosalinda in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Princess Protection Program, alongside her friend, Selena Gomez. Lovato is currently starring in a new Disney Channel Original Series called Sonny With a Chance. It began production in September 2008. She will reprise her Mitchie Torres role in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock 2.

She will start a tour to promote her music June 21, 2009.

Demi Lovato hates being judged by other people. The Sonny With A Chancestar said in an interview with M magazine, "I'll be the first to admit that I'm not perfect and I hate that people judge other teens and make them feel bad about themselves." AS demi has felt the pressure herself, she shared with her fans. “just be the best you can be." She recalled her days at school, "There was a petition called 'We hate Demi.' They would text me and say, 'We're going to make your life a living hell.' I remember asking them, 'What did I do?' and no one could answer."

Personal life
In an MTV interview, Lovato stated that she likes metal music, especially black metal and metalcore. She called symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir "one of her favorite live acts".

In the March 2009 issue of Teen Vogue, Lovato states, "My first passion is music, because it comes naturally to me. Acting has been like a hobby."
