Anna Falchi

Born on April 22, 1972, in Tampere
Anna Falchi is a Finnish-born model and film actress.

Half Italian on her father's side, Anna Falchi was raised by her mother in Italy, where she remains relatively well-known for her modelling, and rather less so for her acting. Being raised in Italy with a Finnish name that proved complex to pronounce, she chose an alternative stage name to help advance her modelling and acting career.

Anna Falchi started her career as a model. She firstappeared on television in a commercial for an Italian bank in 1992. The ad starred Paolo Villaggio, and was directed by the famous Federico Fellini.

After a few more years of modeling, Anna took the advice of a friend and decided to pursue a film career in Italy. She appeared in 1993's Nel Continente Nero (On the Dark Continent), which was followed by a string of other Italian productions, including Anni 90 - Parte II in 1993, and S.P.Q.R. 2000 e 1/2 anni fa, Miracolo italiano, and C'e Kim Novak al telefono, all in 1994

The mid-1990s also saw Anna starring in a number of international productions, such as L'Affaire (1994), Dellamorte Dellamore [aka, Cemetary Man (1994)], La Pri
ncipessa e il povero [aka, The Princess and the Pauper (1997)], and the miniseries Caraibi [Blood Brothers (1999)]

Since 2000, Anna has continued on her successful, multi-disciplinary career path, and has even added a few more dimensions to it. She played herself alongside fellow models Cindy Crawford and Victoria Silvstedt in the comedy Bodyguards (2000), and she promoted Intgre, Yamaha, Armata di Mare, and Auguri Preziosi.

Anna Falchi oozes classic European sexuality. Her tough, tomboyish attitude and drop-dead gorgeous looks make for an irresistible combination. If Italian directors were more interested in making film noir, this cigarette-smoking bombshell would make the ultimate femme fatale.

Don't believe us?

Picture Anna's voluptuous body in a satin evening gown that shimmers and hugs her curvaceous form as she walks. Now imagine her doe-like blue eyes drawing you in for a kiss from a set of lips that would make Angelina Jolie jealous. If that doesn't get your blood boiling, you might want to check your pulse.

Anna Falchi found stardom early and held on tight. After impressing Federico Fellini when she was a model, Anna became a regular presence in Italian movies from the mid-1990s on, and supplemented that exposure with advertising and TV hosting work. Since 2005, she's starred in Nessun Messaggio in Segreteria (2005), L'Allenator nel pallone 2 (2008) and Un'Estate al mare (2008).

Meanwhile, Anna Falchi continued to develop herself as a media personality . She did advertising work for Marcolin, Infiore bras and Daniela Bongiorno jeans. She also became a fixture on Italian television, hosting or cohosting a series of pageants and specials, including Luna Park, Donna sotto le Stelle, Stelle a 4 zampe, and Domenica In

Anna is certainly famous in Italy, but since she hasn't appeared in any American films, her fame as an actress in the English-speaking world is limited to a few movies that have made the art-house circuit, such as Cemetery Man, Celluloide and Poor But Beautiful. On the other hand, she is Internationally popular as an internet pin-up -- no translation necessary.

"[Loving someone] is a matter of day by day, [making] small gestures."
- Anna Falchi

She is less known in the English speaking world. Some fans of the horror comic Dylan Dog, know her as the lead female in a film adaptation called Dellamorte Dellamore, which was released in the U.S. as Cemetery Man.
